HOA Important Updates & Reminders (11/30/23)

Dear River Rest Condominiums Owners,

Please note that the monthly HOA fee will be increasing to $375 effective January 1, 2024. The primary reason for the HOA fee increase is to offset the HOA’s increased property insurance premium. The 2024 budget can be viewed under the “Documents” section of the website. Homeowners that pay their HOA fees online (through HOABankServices.com) or via mailed check will need to begin paying the new amount going forward. If you are currently on auto-draft directly through David Floyd & Associates, Inc., no action is required.

In order to help prevent pipes from freezing this winter, please disconnect garden hoses, cover exterior water spigots, and make sure that your heat is turned ON (set to at least 60 degrees). When temperatures drop well below freezing, please open cabinet doors underneath sinks and allow water to slowly drip from all interior sink faucets. Homeowners are also encouraged to locate and test their individual water-shutoff valves. In the event of a water leak, it is imperative that the water to your condo be turned off immediately.

We want to welcome homeowner Sara Campbell to the HOA Board of Directors. Sara was recently appointed to the Board to fill a vacancy left by Olivia Elliott, who recently resigned from the Board due to personal reasons. The Board thanks Olivia for her years of service and appreciates her dedication to the community.

The 2024 annual homeowners meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 6:30 PM at the clubhouse. All homeowners are encouraged to attend.
Important Reminders:

  • Vehicles may not be parked alongside the streets and alleyways. Vehicles may only be parked in designated parking spaces, driveways, and garages.
  • All trash must be bagged and placed inside of cans with lids securely closed. Oversized items and excess trash that will not fit inside of trash cans can be taken to the Grassland Convenience Center (less than 1 mile away from River Rest).
  • All residents must comply with local fire codes. Charcoal grills and wood-burning fire pits are highly discouraged due to risk of accidental fires, especially when the leaves are falling and conditions are abnormally dry. Open flames should be kept well away from combustible materials (siding, patio fences, overhanging tree branches, etc.).
